Project Description:
For this project, students were tasked with designing a new office space located on the first floor of an existing mixed-use building, Cherokee Studios, located in West Hollywood, CA. The client owns a graphic design firm that is well known for its print, digital, and environmental work in the music and film industries. The goal of this office design was to reflect a creative and collaborative work environment while leaving the exterior of the building unchanged. Given the musical legacy of the building, the cover of Air Supply’s 1983 Greatest Hits album was chosen as inspiration for the materials palette. The soft rock duo was one of many musical groups that recorded at the original Cherokee Studios.
